I think it would be largely dependent on two things, the first being trail conditions. The trail devil is very capable over technical terrain, but if your course is super rocky or harsh underfoot, I would recommend going with something with either a little more midsole stack or something with a rock plate for added protection.

Also, it depends on what you’re used to running in. If you typically wear speedgoats or calderas for your 100mi races or training, then I would stick with that.

All that being said, if you have a 50k or trail marathon coming up, the Trail Devil would be an excellent pick in my opinion, just maybe not for a full 100. They’re very light and fast, but they’re not very protective or highly cushioned underfoot.
