My routes mostly run the gamut from tarmac to technical and it’s always a compromise. In the drier seasons I lean road-capable, from about now I try for as much cushion and flexibility as I can find paired with ~5mm lugs… Something like this sounds as if it might work when the rocks are dry and the paths haven’t turned into hippo wallows and mudslides, but I’m not clear how it differs from shoes marketed as road-to-trail.
