Fall is in full swing, which means it’s a whole season of Super Bowl Sunday-style hype for Tracksmith. Running down dreams on crushed gravel back roads in New England as the dense blanket of morning fog rises off a frosty meadow, the golden glow of maples and the red burst of oaks serving as backdrops the perfect long run. Oh captain, my captain, wrap me up in merino wool and set me in front of a crackling fireplace with a hand-crafted ceramic mug full of single origin, fair trade, organic, pour-over coffee.
What shall we wear to celebrate the season? None other than the Tracksmith Fall Collection, of course.
Featuring some tried and true staples and some all-new silhouettes, this set of apparel will have you set, whether you’re running on the road or reading On The Road. Check out our favorite pieces for fall 2024.
Versatile Warmth
I mean, we have to lead off with this, just in case someone is new here. The Brighton Base Layer is the number one piece of fall and winter running gear that any runner should have. It may be the only piece you need since the Merino blend covers a range of temperatures and can be worn over and over again without accumulating odor. I’ve worn my first Brighton Base Layer for four winters now, multiple times a week, and it’s still as good as ever. It’s one of the best investments you can make.
Tops
A new piece for women in the Tracksmith lineup, the Fells Crop is a seamless silhouette aht uses 57% Merino wool and 40% nylon to create the perfect fit with temperature regulating and anti-odor properties. Meaning, when you warm up you can cool down and vice versa. A scoop neckline offers just the right amount of coverage.
Run/Lifestyle
You may have already noticed a lot of Merino on this list. If you don’t know, Merino is magical and this quarter snap with a standing collar gives you all the versatility to wear when it’s cold out, or to a post-run meetup. Basically, you can wear it wherever since it’s warm, breathable, and odor-resistant. Style-wise, it’s one of the best Tracksmith pieces out there.
Bottoms
Somewhere in between the Turnover Tight and the NDO Tight lies the Fells Tight, a Merino running tight designed for colder weather, made to keep you warm when you need to and regulate your body temperature the way that only Merino wool can. If there’s one thing Tracksmith knows how to do, it’s running tights, and these are every bit as good as our other two favorites.
Lifestyle
This right here is your perfect Christmas sweater, just a more modern runner’s version. While the men’s is a ribbed knit, the women’s is a beautiful cable knit and both feature the signature Tracksmith sash. Made with 50% Merino wool, this sweater is warm and soft, which is exactly how the perfect sweater should be.
Shorts
An all-new short tight for women (uh, can we get this for men?), the Fells features a Merino knit blend for all the temperature regulating properties you need with all of the incredible softness you want. Pair this with the crop and you got a whole lot of feeling good going on. Features one drop-in back pocket on the back center of the waistband.
Tops
A short sleeve shell (women’s version is sleeveless) to give you that extra layer of protection, the Harbor Shell features a back vent lined with soft micro-mesh and is made from a woven fabric blend that can fend off wind and rain. Just don’t wear it to a hospital or you may get called in to do a surgery.
Headwear
I swear this is the warmest beanie I’ve ever owned and it’s honestly almost too warm, that’s how good it is. Made from a generous helping of Merino wool, this thing can handle the coldest of winter days.
Bottoms
Are these glorified sweatpants? Maybe. Probably. But either way, these are straight-up post-run bliss, featuring a double knit blend of Merino wool and polypropylene. It’s warm and comfortable and perfect for the colder months when going out for errands or just lounging on the couch.
