Hoka x Marni Drops April 5
Depending on which part of the planet you live in, spring is officially here, so congratulations—you survived another gray winter, hopefully running. The big races are approaching, so be sure to check out our guides for the Boston Marathon and the London Marathon. This month, we saw really nice collaborations come to life, interesting new releases, and even new brands launching. This is a round-up of our favorite things happening in “the culture” this month.
This month had plenty of releases, here are some of our favorites.
Cozy Cues
The most expensive Hoka shoe is here ($395) and is not even a running shoe. Instead, Hoka teamed up with fashion house Marni to create a new version of the Bondi B3LS. Taking cues from the Kaha 2 and the Ora Primo, the shoe is a puffed-up minimalistic take in 4 colors, red, beige, pale blue, and brown. The result is actually beautiful. Therefore, the internet went bananas, so expect these to sell out and then come again at some point. Release April 5.
Forever Stars
Taking inspiration from the ocean, with artwork influenced by Hokusai’s “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” and similar ukiyo-e woodblock printing styles. The collection balances clean lines with bold prints, featuring standout Puma shoes like the Deviate Nitro 3, Elite 3, and ForeverRun Nitro 2. Apparel is just as impressive, with standout pieces like a wave-pattern jacket and crop tops. It’s poetic, performance-driven, and stylish from head to toe.
Ball Is Life
Running in a basketball jersey? Not ideal—until now. Soar’s new American Race Vest blends throwback b-ball swagger with serious performance thanks to ultra-light SPACE3D mesh. Blending bold American sports heritage with road-ready performance, this vest is built for more than just speed—it’s built for the spotlight.
Minimal and Light
DOXA is back with an evolved SS25 collection, expanding on last year’s RErun concept. The vibe is minimalist yet performance-ready, focusing on light fabrics and refined essentials for the passionate runner. Designed for streets, trails, and tracks, this drop is DOXA’s way of staying rooted in running culture while stepping into a new era. Look out for it in select Asian and European retailers and online.
California Cop
Currently Running is a California-based brand founded by editor/ filmmaker/runner Nash Howe. The brand aims to dig into the textured world of running with premium garments. It’s all about creating pieces that feel personal and empowering. Whether through visuals or gear, Currently Running brings a thoughtful, artful perspective to the everyday runner’s journey. They just released their Mile 1 collection for pre-order on their website.
Wander On
Altra is doing hit after hit with their collaborations; now, they linked up with Japanese brand And Wander for a new take on the Timp 5 BOA trail shoe. It’s rugged and stylish, featuring a granite grey colorway, breathable mesh, and the BOA Fit System for that perfect, locked-in feel. The burrito-style construction is a win for comfort and durability, making this a trail-ready shoe that looks as good on any surface.
Go West
Bandit just opened a new store in LA’s Silver Lake neighborhood, and true to their vibe, they announced it with a quirky teaser video starring a construction worker. Located next to Renegade Running, it’s more than retail—it’s a community hub. To celebrate, they’re dropping a limited four-piece capsule collection. It’s Bandit’s way of planting deeper roots in the running scene out West.
BAUSton, Baby
This limited-edition race singlet honors Australian Boston Marathon champ Rob de Castella. It’s made in Melbourne with premium Italian fabric and carries a touch of tradition with modern tech. Runners heading to Boston can bring their singlet to a special pop-up on April 19 to get it custom printed. Just don’t wait—the customization deadline is March 31.
Lux Literati
Another running brand launch. Literary Sport is for runners who lean more toward fashion—think luxury materials, clean cuts, and no logos. It’s more Bottega Veneta than Nike, catering to those who want running gear that blends seamlessly into a high-end, everyday wardrobe. Understated yet performance, it’s a fresh choice for the style-conscious athlete looking for that low-key flex. This means it is very controversial.
Coffee Run
Saucony is merging coffee culture and running with its Saucony Cafe concept. Think branded cups, punch cards, and even a signature spicy espresso drink called SOCK-A-KNEE. It’s all part of their “Run as One” campaign, complete with community runs and giveaways. The first stop was New York, followed by Boston, London, and more.
